Each year, Cathedral School for Boys supports the Bayview Mission through an all-school service-learning and fundraising program beginning in November.

This year’s Boys for Bayview Mission "Be Fit Challenge" encourages the boys to set and achieve fitness goals and work together as a class to meet the challenge. Cathedral School for Boys Coaches Jason Thomas and Aaron Mullen have been working with each class to set their goals. The boys will secure pledges from family and friends to meet or surpass their goals on challenge days during the course of the fundraiser, from November 2-20.

All funds raised are used to purchase necessary supplies such as soap, toothbrushes, towels, and socks. On Wednesday, December 16, the boys will pack the items into 550 bags that will be distributed to families and individuals in need at the Bayview Mission's holiday party on Saturday, December 19.

Parent volunteers are needed for the bag-packing day and for set-up on Tuesday, December 15. Please watch for a volunteer sign-up link in an upcoming issue of the Cathedral School Bulletin.

This year's event chairs - Jenny Stegall, Stephanie Lehman and Yvonne Blaxter - are working to secure donations from area businesses for essential supplies such as soap, shampoo, and socks. If you know of a business that would be willing to donate, please let us know!
