The Cathedral School for Boys Extended Day Program is offered to families in need of additional care for their boy(s) before and after school. The AM daycare, PM daycare, and study hall programs operate throughout the school year. Outside of the school year, we continue our services to CSB families by offering camps during Christmas, winter, spring, and summer breaks. Childcare is also offered during Parent/Teacher Conferences and Back to School Night. Our program continues to grow and change with the needs of our community. We look forward to supporting our community by offering these services.

The program begins on the first day of classes each semester and ends on the last day of classes. The daycare program allows boys to interact with classmates and friends after school in a safe, fun, and relaxed environment. The daycare staff utilizes the school playground, daycare room, Lower School classrooms, multi-purpose room, art room and Huntington Park for various free-play and directed activities throughout the year. PM daycare, study hall, or enrichment classes are not available on half days or faculty in-service days.

Enrichment Classes

CSB offers after-school enrichment classes taught by our own CSB staff, members of the school community, and professional instructors from the Bay Area. Past enrichment courses have included: Guitar, Fencing, Hapkido, Robotics, 3-D Animation, Lego Engineering, Sculpture, Wild Science, Movie Making, Cartooning, Hip Hop Dance, Yoga, Knitting, Origami, and Chess.

Study Hall: Upper School

Study hall is offered Monday-Thursday 3:15pm-5:00pm to all sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Study hall allows boys the opportunity to study, do homework, and work together to complete projects. There is no charge to parents for the use of study hall. Study hall is not be available during outdoor education week.

Summer, Christmas, Winter, and Spring Camps

CSB offers co-ed break camps for CSB students, siblings, and friends (K-5) for the three school breaks during Christmas, winter, and spring. These co-ed camps offer boys and girls an opportunity to enjoy fun and adventurous activities in a smaller group setting with their friends. Details and pre-registration forms are available prior to each camp.

Summer Camp (K-8) is a time for fun activities, challenging academic classes, and creative art courses. Each summer CSB staff, enrichment staff, and members of the CSB community come together to offer summer fun for boys and girls in this small summer camp setting. Details and pre-registration forms are available in the spring.
