Adjustable Tuition

Cathedral School for Boys maintains an Adjustable Tuition program for approximately 28% of the student body, with students receiving $1,070,525 in tuition assistance based on a sliding scale for the 2010-2011 school year. Additional funds are available for extra-curricular activities to insure an opportunity for a full Cathedral experience.

Adjustable Tuition is offered to students based on proven need and available school funds. CSB seeks to enroll academically qualified students whatever their financial circumstances. To decide the fairest and most equitable estimate of a family’s need, the school uses the general principles and analysis system of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, NJ.

Parents submit a confidential Parents’ Financial Statement directly to School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), which processes the form and sends it to Cathedral School. The school requires that parents submit a copy of their most recent Federal Income Tax Forms 1040 and 4506 and all necessary schedules to SSS. Both parents are expected to contribute toward their son’s educational expenses. Every family must file an updated Parents’ Financial Statement for each year in which they wish to apply for Adjustable Tuition. All financial information submitted is held in strictest confidence.

Adjustable Tuition applicants must complete the Parents’ Financial Statement and mail it to the appropriate address by January 24, 2011, or file on-line by February 11, 2011. Applications must be sent by this deadline for priority consideration. Applicants do not need to complete their Federal Income Tax Form 1040 before submitting a Parents’ Financial Statement to School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey.
