Thought Leader Series: Saving Our Sons Author Dr. Gurian Set to Speak January 29

As thought leaders on boys, Cathedral and its Boys Study Committee continue to seek and understand boys' social emotional learning and character development. We look forward to beginning the new year with a unique presentation by Dr. Michael Gurian for our Cathedral community on Tuesday, January 29 at 6 p.m. in Gresham Hall.

With thirty years of study in child development, brain research, and gender differences, Dr. Gurian brings us his latest findings in male emotional intelligence, the male brain, and neuroscience along with concrete examples to support boys, parents, and educators in the journey to manhood at home and school. His most recent book, Saving Our Sons: A New Path for Raising Healthy and Resilient Boys, tackles social and cultural issues facing our sons, spotlights male mental health and well-being, and explores practical solutions in order to help us see boys fully and fairly.

Dr. Gurian will be signing copies of his book at the event. We encourage you to make this must-read book part of your 2019 resolutions.  Copies are available in the library or for purchase here.
