New Director of Admission Just Announced!

Tara’s appointment comes as a result of a national search launched with the support of Carney, Sandoe, and Associates, an independent school placement firm based in Boston. We were fortunate to receive scores of strong resumes, and with the help of staff, parents, and board members, we interviewed four finalists. It was the resounding opinion of the committee that we offer the position to Tara.

 

Tara currently serves as Cathedral’s High School counselor, a position that she has held for the last three years. Under Tara’s guidance our high school placement record is as strong as it has ever been.

 

Tara earned her A. B. Degree in English from Bowdoin College, a M.A. in English from Middlebury College, and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Columbia University. Prior to serving in her current role as High School Counselor, Tara taught English at Marin Country Day School and at Miss Porter’s School, a girls’ boarding school in Connecticut. Tara worked in marketing in Boston and New York before her career in education. Perhaps more important than anything else, she is the mother of two Cathedral School sons, Elliott in fourth grade and Nico in kindergarten. She knows our School well, and will serve the School admirably in the coming years.

 

Tara’s tenure will officially begin this summer.
