Welcome to Cathedral School for Boys

Welcome to Cathedral School for Boys, a K-8, all-boys Episcopal school that appreciates each boy for his natural wonder and curiosity about the world around him. Our teachers choose Cathedral because we love boys in all of their complexities. We embrace boys’ spirited engagement, inquiry, and collaboration. Our motto, Minds, Hearts, Hands, Voices, captures how we endeavor to educate the whole boy: his mind and his heart, which guide his thinking and actions; his hands, which shape and serve the world; and his voice, with which he engages with the world and speaks his convictions. At Cathedral the learning never stops, from the labs to the art rooms, the fields to the chapel, the library to the stage, the streets of San Francisco to our larger world. We graduate boys of character who are thoughtful, loving, and have learned to use their voices to speak their truths and serve our world.
Cathedral School for Boys actively seeks a diverse community, and from our inception has always strived to be a school for all of San Francisco. We are located in the heart of San Francisco, at the intersection of many neighborhoods. The community gathers multiple times a week to listen, learn and sing, in the awe inspiring Grace Cathedral, a historically significant church that has modeled a loving and welcoming community for over a century.
Please take the time to learn more about our school and please visit us on campus very soon!
