You may hear us before you see us. As you approach the Cathedral School for Boys campus, you may hear pounding feet as boys race from their cars to school in the morning — before slowing down to shake Headmaster Jones' hand. You'll probably hear the peals of laughter as boys play on the roof soccer pitch and basketball courts, or engage in imaginative play with one another. You may hear wind and brass instruments warming up, or boys' voices harmonizing in choir. A little later in the day, you may hear seventh graders leaving campus in a group for their weekly service learning at a neighboring school or organization. Lean in closely enough, and you may just hear eighth graders in Mandarin or Spanish class in dialogue, or a first grader sharing his family's favorite activity. At Cathedral, boys are challenged and learning is active, engaging, and fun.
As an Episcopal school nestled on the grounds of Grace Cathedral — a building of breathless architecture and unparalleled beauty — we strive for diversity of thought, experience, and perspective. Families of all faiths, cultures, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds are welcomed and celebrated here. Boys enter high school prepared for rigorous academics as well as the challenges of life, and with respect for all people.
This fall, we look forward to welcoming you to our fully renovated campus for our fall events. We offer two primary entry points: Kindergarten and in fifth and sixth grades. In fifth grade, we offer up to 12 spots; in sixth grade, up to six spots. But we welcome applications for students at any of our other grade levels, as we occasionally have open spots.
