Cathedral at a Glance

Since its founding, Cathedral School for Boys has been dedicated to educating thoughtful scholars, confident leaders, and young men of strong moral character. Students learn in an intentionally small, supportive environment where they are known well by their teachers and challenged to think deeply, communicate clearly, and engage with curiosity. Guided by expert faculty who understand how boys learn best, students at Cathedral School grow academically while developing self-awareness, resilience, and a genuine sense of purpose.
 
At Cathedral School, learning extends beyond academic achievement. Our approach is grounded in the values outlined in our Portrait of a Graduate, which emphasizes Habits of Scholarship, Leadership, and Character. Boys learn to collaborate, set goals, and persevere through challenge. They practice leadership as an act of service and responsibility, grounded in empathy, integrity, and respect for others. Cathedral School for Boys

Located in San Francisco, California, Cathedral School for Boys is an independent elementary school for boys in Kindergarten – Grade 8. Our mission is to provide an excellent education through intellectual inquiry and rigor that is centered in the Episcopal tradition and is respectful of and welcoming to people of all religious traditions and beliefs.
