Parents Association

The involvement of families is essential to the success of Cathedral School for Boys. Every parent or guardian of an enrolled student is automatically a member of the Parents Association. The PA, through its elected Committee Chairs & Program Liaisons, works closely with the Board of Trustees and the administration to help each family feel part of the school community and to support the School. The Parents Association provides a means of communication between the School and its families; contributes to school operations through various fundraising activities, most notably its annual Spring Celebration; and supplies essential volunteer support for many activities including the library, hot lunch program, admissions, the art department, Field Day, and Grandparents & Special Friends Day.
The Parents Association meets monthly during the school year. All parents are welcome to attend to learn more about the School from the Headmaster, Trustees, and staff, as well as specific PA events and initiatives. In September, there is a general meeting of the parent body on the first day of school to meet committee chairs and learn about events for the year. An annual volunteer celebration is held near the end of the school year to approve officers for the following year.

The fundraising function of the Parents Association is vital to the School's operations and benefits every boy by supporting programs and teachers and contributing to the community which makes Cathedral a very special place.
We are grateful for the many family members who volunteer every day throughout the year to help in the library, lunchroom, and classrooms, on field trips, and at many school events. Our dedicated volunteers enrich the Cathedral School exdperience for every boy, teacher, and family! The PA also coordinates three major community events each year.

Fall Bash
October 4, 2019
This fun, casual, and free party for all parents, guardians, and teachers is a great way to celebrate the new school year and our community.
Cathedral School Sunday & Family Picnic
October 20, 2019
All students, teachers, and families are invited to a special service in Grace Cathedral followed by lunch and games (including our annual pie/baked goods contest) on the Plaza of Grace, and our Alumni vs. Faculty "Crypt Classic" basketball game in the gym.
Spring Celebration & Auction
March 7, 2020
This creative community party raises general operating funds through an online and live auction and also funds a specific project at the School through a "Fund-a-Need" effort at the event. This themed party has become one of the most anticipated nights of the year.

Cathedral School for Boys
