Nob Hill

Cathedral School has called Nob Hill home since 1957. In this historic neighborhood, boys learn to appreciate architecture, culture, and the rhythms of city life. From Grace Cathedral to the Cable Car Museum, every corner of Nob Hill is part of our story and part of our classroom.

Grace Cathedral

Our next-door neighbor, Grace Cathedral, shapes much more than our skyline. Boys gather there three times each week for Chapel, service learning, and reflection. Through music, ritual, and storytelling, they discover a sense of belonging to something larger than themselves.

Library

Our Library is more than a place for books. It teaches information literacy, supports curricular projects, and fosters a lifelong love of reading. Whether researching social justice art or preparing a Chapel Talk, boys find inspiration and resources here.

Gresham Hall

From the soaring space of Grace Cathedral to the stage of Gresham Hall, the performing arts are woven into the life of Cathedral School for Boys. In every grade, music is not an extracurricular; it is essential. Weekly music classes, instrumental instruction, and ensemble opportunities support students’ creative growth and cultural literacy. At the heart of it all is our Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, a nationally renowned choral tradition that shapes boys’ voices, discipline, and sense of purpose. In the always active Music Room, boys engage with a curriculum rooted in Episcopal heritage and global musical traditions. They come to understand that artistic expression is not just performance. It is formation.
